Louisiana Arbor Day Tree Giveaway
Arbor Day is a nationally celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and care. Louisiana Arbor Day is always held the third Friday in January to coincide with our tree-planting season.
Our staff spends time in schools and at other community events each year during January to plant trees with citizens and students, spreading the word about the importance of planting and caring for our urban forest.
We also partner with The LSU Ag Center Burden Museum & Gardens for their annual Louisiana Arbor Day celebration at the Barton Auditorium, where we give away hundreds of native trees FREE to visitors! Our experts are on hand to help with tree selection, planting location advice, and to share proper planting techniques.
