Volunteer of the Year 2019 announced at Arbor Day Luncheon

Thanks to Annette Bar­ton & Mal­colm Tuck­er, Richard & Claire Man­ship, Cit­i­zens Bank & Trust and LSU for spon­sor­ing our annu­al Arbor Day Lun­cheon on Jan­u­ary 17 at the LSU Rur­al Life Museum!

At the lun­cheon 2020 Board Pres­i­dent Tom East­er­ly helped Exec­u­tive Direc­tor Sage Foley present the Vol­un­teer of the Year award to out­go­ing pres­i­dent Rawl­ston Phillips, III (above). Rawl­ston has served three terms as Board Pres­i­dent and been instru­men­tal in growth of the Liv­ing Road­ways pro­gram in recent years. We are so grate­ful for his devo­tion to Baton Rouge Green’s mission!

Rawl­ston and his daugh­ters have been com­mit­ted Pick­ers” (and cit­rus taste-testers) each year for the City Cit­rus Pick Event (below). His father, Bub­ba Phillips, has also been involved with Baton Rouge Green since our incep­tion. Thanks to the entire Phillips clan: three gen­er­a­tions of PLANT­I­NG IT FORWARD!
