My Tree Programming

My Tree Programming

MyTree uses technology to recruit the public to engage “yard trees” of their respective communities. Tree lovers and non-experts alike can use the platform to identify, measure, and map trees around them using any web-enabled smartphone, tablet, or computer.  The interactive tree map shows cumulative and individual benefits that trees provide communities.

Participants are guided through tree identification, measurement, and are able to plot the location of the tree on an interactive map, then instantly see the benefits each tree they map provides to the community.

MyTree is generously supported by a grant via the US Forestry Service, as well as help from Lamar Advertising of Baton Rouge.
