!!! Take a look at what we offered in 2 0 1 2 !!!
Along with football season comes cooler weather and tree planting season! Baton Rouge Green will once again present its Fall Tree-for-All Sale and Celebration, offering all tree enthusiasts the opportunity to find the right tree to fill that empty spot in your yard. Live oaks, crape myrtles, magnolias, cypresses, maples, fruit trees--the many types of trees we can plant in our climate are among the most beautiful in the country. The date for our 2013 Tree-for-All will be posted soon.
Trees offer incredible value to homes and businesses and are critically important to the quality of life in Louisiana. Trees help clean the air, reduce our cooling costs and intercept storm water runoff. They also provide us with our own fresh fruit and nuts and provide homes for birds and other wildlife. Plant a few trees this fall - to improve your health and increase your happiness!
And remember...Members in good standing always receive a 10% discount on the purchase of trees at the Fall Tree-for-All! If you aren't sure of your status and can't find your Green Card, give us a call and we'll be happy to check the database.
Baton Rouge Green holds a tree sale each year, known as the Fall Tree-For-All. This event, held in October (NeighborWoods Month), kicks off the planting season by offering the public a wide selection of shade, flowering, and fruit trees. At this event, Baton Rouge Green sells plants grown within 100 miles of Baton Rouge and the sale often features many hard-to-find natives such as paw paw, persimmon, mayhaw, and bigleaf magnolia, to name just a few.
Spring On-Line Tree Sale
Baton Rouge Green also hosts an online event each spring. The selection of trees can be viewed online on March 4, 2013 and reserved in advance to be picked up and purchased on a designated day. This is an easy way to request the specific number and varieties of plants you want for your garden.
